Beaver Scouts (6-8)

The Beaver Scout Section is for all young people aged between 6 and 8 years old. They belong to the first and youngest Section in the Scouting family.

Easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts, Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits, trying outdoor activities and helping others.

Our Beaver Scout Colonies organise sleepovers every year. These are often the first time a young person spends a night away from home.

Our Beavers meet on Tuesdays (older Beavers) and Fridays (younger Beavers). We are very popular and we operate a waiting list. Complete our Join us form and we will respond as soon as we can

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
